Grooming and Nail Trimming

Regular grooming is vital for ensuring your dog's comfort, health, and overall well-being.

Grooming is as important for your dog as it is for people. Bathing, brushing their hair regularly, brushing their teeth, cleaning their ears, and trimming their nails will help your dog not only look better but feel better too.

What kind of grooming services are offered?

At this time, we do not offer general grooming services for dogs other than trimming your dog’s nails. Sometimes, we have patients that are just not comfortable getting their coats groomed or their nails trimmed. Some dogs become anxious, stressed and sometimes even a bit testy or aggressive. In cases like these, it is safer for your pet and our staff to lightly sedate your dog.

For grooming, we have a professional groomer come to our hospital to groom your pet. While your dog is sedated during the procedure, one of our Animal Health Technicians will keep a close eye on your pet’s safety, maintaining their respiration and temperature until grooming is complete.

What is the cost for grooming small, medium, and large dogs?

There are many qualified groomers in our city better able to assist you and your dog for general services. We would be happy to discuss the cost of having a sedated groom or nail trim done at our hospital. Please call our office to speak with one of our friendly pet care specialists. We can answer any questions you may have 403-527-2829.
