Dr. Ellen Watkiss

I grew up in Abbotsford, BC on a goat farm with a variety of farm animals and pets. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Abbotsford, I spent several years travelling Europe and returned to Canada to complete a Master’s degree in Veterinary Microbiology at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree completed in June 2017. Since then I have enjoyed practicing in a mixed animal clinic in Maple Creek, SK prior to joining the team at Crossroads. I am especially interested in small animal internal medicine, ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, I love travelling, camping, hiking, gardening and cooking as well as brewing mead, cider, wine and beer. I also look forward to relaxing at home with my 3 dogs Milo, Oscar and Zoe and 2 cats Cyrus and Mokie.
