Hi, I'm Alma. I moved to Canada in 2010 and am originally from Mexico. Ever since I can remember, I have had a strong connection and passion for animals, therefore, knew I wanted to be a Veterinarian; I never had a plan "B". I studied at the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry (FMVZ) in Mexico City. Now I'm focused on getting better every day, I love to learn from everyone and I have a big interest in companion animals; especially internal medicine and endocrinology.
I am married and I have a daughter who is 7 years old. Our furry family members are Panda, who is a 4-year-old small terrier mix from Mexico, and she is the boss of our other dog who is a 3-year-old husky-shepherd mix named Thunder; he is the friendly one.
We love the outdoors, the sunshine and the good weather of Medicine Hat and enjoy exploring the hiking trails around the city.
