Dental Services and Teeth Cleaning
Proper dental care is as important for your pet as it is for you. In addition to preventing bad breath and periodontal disease it can also prevent infection from spreading through the blood stream to your pet's liver, kidneys, and heart. This bacterial shower can lead to permanent organ damage affecting your pet's overall health. Although many pets will allow a veterinarian to evaluate their teeth, complete oral cavity (including teeth) evaluation and teeth cleaning can only be performed on an anesthetized patient. Proper dental care is a particular focus of the Crossroads team and our technicians and veterinarians are highly trained and experienced in oral care. We routinely perform dental cleaning procedures and, where indicated, are very capable of performing dental surgery to extract diseased teeth or obtaining oral cavity tissue samples to evaluate apparent abnormalities in the mouth.
